COVID -19 PCR Test

COVID-19 is a molecular or nucleic acid test (for example "PCR" test), which checks for genetic material (viral RNA) produced by the virus. This test uses a nasal swab collection kit, which is authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) and will be used to test for C0VID-19, an illness caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

COVID-19 Antibody Test

Antibodies are proteins that the body produces in response to an infection or vaccine. There are 2 types of COVID-19 antibody tests: a spike protein test and a nucleocapsid test. This COVID-19 Antibody Test is a spike protein test that can detect antibodies from a prior or recent infection, regardless of whether symptoms were present. Positive results may also occur after a COVID-19 vaccination, but the clinical significance is not yet known, nor is it known how good this test is at detecting antibodies in those who have been vaccinated. Alternatively, a nucleocapsid test can only detect antibodies from a prior or recent infection. This test can be helpful if you suspect you've contracted COVID before but haven't been tested before
